I've never mentioned this but my son has a 2000 Civic si. Yes, he's a rice boy, but I still love him. Any way his Civic is black and he's got Motegi Gunmetal 7 spoke 17"ers on it, looks great. I took pictures when he was home on vacation recently. But for some strange reason the camera keeps saying there's an error downloading the pictures. Been waiting on my other half to fix it for me. Anyway they are different and look great. He's not a fan of chrome. By the way his Civic is a full sized two door coupe not one of those little hatchbacks. He doesn't have all the decals all over it or hugh goofy lookin' wing on it. So without decals and the wing it's very clean and sleek looking.

So he's really not a rice boy then.
Rice:
Import type cars with stickers, huge whale tail wings, non body matching body parts, rim with wrong offset, loud lawn mower exhaust kits, and drivers who think there all that and a bag of chips, when really their chimps wearing hats.

Your son sounds like someone with a "could be" rice car that still has style and class.

Saki,
What color where rims before, they obviously weren't stock, so why did you do it?
What was there before?
What was the original cost?

There you go! He does have better taste than most ricers. But does have that fart pipe. Although his is not as loud as most. That year Civic si did have a spoiler on it that really doesn't look too bad, but he recently removed it for a new Black Widow one. Just hasn't gotten it put on yet. I like it better without the wing. He bought this car with everything he wanted already done. He mentioned Cat Back exhaust and K&N Cold air and some other stuff that would be over my none gear head. It is pretty fast. He said he thinks it'a at about 185 to 195 horses. But, is jealous of my GT. He's driven it and loved how it's torqued, and of course would love to have has his si turbo charged. So, I'm having some fun with him. Isn't that what sons are for? To torment. I'm lovin' it!!

Well he is on the track of a rice car. Just make sure he does not put stickers all over it with race names and parts that aren't on there, especially Type R stickers.

Is the new spolier huge or small?

I made the same mistake in buying everything already on my car like I wanted. Little did I know I would want more. Since I live at home, there are certain things that aren't allowed on my cruiser. If I had gotten the base model. It would have rims and aftermarket leather with a supercharger, not all the other stuff I have now.

Intake and exhaust really isn't that bad. I believe every 4 cyln. should have them aftermarket upgraded. There already so robed of horses, I don't think they could get any less.
