Well, painted my BTG Bar...
The finish wasn't great and the surface was scratched and I hated looking at it like that.
So, I painted it gunmetal. Putting on the clear coat now. Hope it holds up well. If not, I'll strip it and powder coat it. I like the look and I'm gonna paint the throttle cable cover the same color. So far, so good.

Geez, some people take pictures when they do things like this, and others at least give us little red x's to look at. But noooooo, you gotta just tease us and make us imagine how things look. [V]

Actually turned out nice.
Hope the paint holds, the bar gets pretty hot. I'll get pics later today. It's late here...not quite sure why i'm still up.

Wow, that does look nice! Looks like you did just the bar but left the brackets polished? How did you prep it - any fine sanding first and then a primer coat?

Adhesion promoter, then primer (3 coats), 400 sand, then 3 coats gunmetal with 3 coats of clearcoat.
Left the underside unpainted.

I used plasti-kote.
Bulldog was 5-10 b/n coats. primer was 10 min b/n coats and 45-1 hr before wet sanding. Paint was about 10-15 min b/n coats. Clear same deal. Great night for painting in terms of humidity and temp
