Default Factory flames?

I've been looking around the web just trying to get learn more about my cruiser, and it would seem that the flames on mine are actually from the factory. Were these a dealer installed option, or were they installed at the factory. Can you still get these? This isn't my pt, but these are the flames I have.

I believe those flames were a factory-installed option. Good looking and you really don't see many around anymore, just like the Woody package.

Yes, they are a vinyl sticker. I wasn't crazy about them before, but they've grown on me, and I like the fact that my pt doesn't look like all the other pt's on the road. I knew about the woody package, but never new about factory installed flames, pretty cool.

Red face Re: Factory flames?

The potential problem with removing the factory vinyl flames is...
The paint under the flames will not have faded like your exposed paint over the years.
This might leave unsightly dark shadows of the flames.

I like 'em, they look good on your color PT and it does make it unique

I saw a "woody" PT at Walmart yesterday. Just makes me all that much more thankful that mine doesn't have that crap on it. It was really faded and ugly. If it were mine, that stuff would get peeled off the same day I got it. Like I said before, I dig the flames on yours. They actually look GOOD.

You can still buy replacement flame and woody decal sets from Chrysler. Here is a link to the flame sets:
