Default Trying something new

I saw this on a new Plum colored cruiser and thoought I'd give it a try. It showed up a lot better on a dark colored car. I took off ALL the rubber surrounding the engine bay and covered it with a chrome strip. I think it looks good but I know all the die-hard techies out there will tell me something bad about the air flow. I took the PT to a show in St. Pete which is 108 miles one-way and the temprature never went above half way (like always).

good for cooling especially in FL
does the hood move around at all while you are driving?

I think im going to cut sections out but i like to keep my engine compartment spotless and wouldnt want to let filthy road grime in.
let us know how it holds up

I don't think the rubber was supposed to stop the hood from moving around [:I] but I haven't noticed the hood shaking. Like you, every inch of the engine compartment is clean enough to eat off of, even behind and in front of the engine. I don't see any road grime building up but the only thing I'm worring about is rain. It used to get in even with the rubber gasket so I'm sure it will be able to get in with the chrome trim. Actually, I could probably take the chrome trim off and throw on the rubber trim in about two minutes if the need arises.

My engine gets wet and I notice spots after a wash. When I detail the engine up some it has water spots on most of it?
