Hi all,
Hoping some of the people that have fitted fog lights after buying there base model Cruiser can help me. I've got instructions etc on wiring, but how do I remove the black plastic inserts covers that are in place of the fog lights on the base models. The top seems to move but the bottom seems locked in. Do I just push hard or is there some screws or fasteners in there somewhere?? Help - I've got my fog lights and am going in an Aussie Chrysler Show next weekend. |

thanks admin, no I didn't remove them. I was trying to be a contortionist and twisted my arm around trying to get behind there. Will take off and have a look

Hopefully someone can help along the same lines. I am installing OEM fog lights. All the wiring is pre-done. I can't find where the plugs are. I have looked everywhere. I know the wires go into the firewall, but I can not find the plugs.

Which plugs are you searching for ? The plugs for lights should be clipped to the black plastic covers. I installed fog lights in my base 2001 but I had to totally add the harness that came with the kit although the wires for the lights were clipped to the covers. Unfortunely for me I couldn"t find were the went to from there. I used the complete harness that shipped with the kit.

I was looking for the plugs for the fog lights. I have all the other wires inall the right places. I can track them from the inside to the firewall. After that I can't find them. I also will have to use the wiring kit and just do the whole thing. Thanks for the help.

I wont be able to help too much but this is what happened with mine. I fitted aftermarket lights and was hoping that I could just use the wiring that everyone said was there this is what I found.
When I pulled the covers off I could see there was wiring and a plug cliped to were the covers fitted. The problem was the wires went into the firewall but not to the fuse box I couldn't get power to them from my switch. Were the fuse would go there was no clip thing for it to go into. I ended up just making my own wiring up with a relay, switch and a little bit of wire and all is fine. Good luck. |

i was just wondering, when you order the OEM fog lights, what type of switch do they come with? is it the switch that connects to the cloumn along with the headlight switches? or is it something that will fit onto the center stack of controls next to the traction control and back window wiper?
my touring edition was custom built with no fog lights and no back hatch badges. but with four wheel disc brakes and traction control and moonroof. just in case you were wondering... '01 taupe touring edition cruiser |

I believe it comes with a whole new stalk that replaces your existing one and some sort of wiring harness. Just couldn't justify the dollars they wanted for the OEM foglights overe here.

When you purchase oem fog light kit it comes with new switch assembly and complete wiring harness.
