Is there any way to remove the black paint? I've had the grille for about 3 months and I have several big chips. Any ideas?

The black paint serves to provide a "black-out effect" which I like. This paint would be very difficult to remove (as the slots between the horizontal grille fins are so small) IMHO. If it were me, I would just get some touch-up paint in high-gloss black which should take care of the chips. The grille, if purchased new, is under warranty. E & G has a reputation for excellent customer service so you might contact them...at the least, they probably would send you some paint, AND, just maybe [:I]...you might get a new grille. Good luck.

A Q-tip is a perfect applicator to be between the slots.
