Default GRILLE EMBLEM BADGES

I finally received my "Grille Badges' from China. I bid under $7.00 dollars each for three. USA,. New York, and Ireland plus $6.00 dollars shipping. (e-Bay)

It was a pretty good buy as U.S. sellers are getting $20.00 plus for each one depending on where you buy them. It's exactly the same product that's made in China anyway lol

Hey Frank, I saw an 01 PT with a hood like yours a couple of months ago in the pull a part junkyard. I thought it must have been a custom job, but now that I see yours, I'm guessing that Mopar put them out on a few models. I'm referring to the "hood scoops".

That is an aftermarket hood, I forget the name of it.

Those hoods have become super rare. You ought to grab. If nothing else, it would be great for resale. If you weren't a two day drive away, I'd come get it.

Back to the grill badges......

Those used to be called "rally badges" (among other names, I'm sure) way back in the day. They were originally given out if you DROVE in a particular road rally, originally mostly in Europe and England. But like anything that develops a demand, somebody will will make them as long as the demand lasts. So they were soon made not just for driving rallies, but for attending a rally, for countries (supposedly saying that you had been there), car clubs, familial associations, any reason really. The original, old survivors can go for big bucks to collectors and classic car owners.
