Default Painted modesty engine cover

Recently visited local wrecking yard here in so. cal. Found what I was looking for two modesty engine covers 1 for my 02 auto touring and 1 for my 06- 5 speed touring. Also the studs mentioned by the members on this forum.Went on a good day their were approx 10 PT cruisers most were 01 to 05. 1- 007 pt. Sad to see all those pt cruisers going to the crusher. at the same time we are able to find parts at a affordable price the covers were 12.00 each. Painted the covers the color of the car body had a pint of paint left over from when I painted my 02 pt burgundy. And used the perfect match brand in spray can for the 06. They fit nice very happy with a 12.00 part. Also will be doing a little more cleaning in the engine area. Thank the LORD, found what I was looking for.

Looks good

Did you also get the throttle cable bracket, it makes the cover fit better, and there is also a throttle cable plastic clip.

If you want to add a bit more bling to the engine bay, paint the ribs on the upper manifold the same color as the vanity cover.

I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you.

Thanks Crewzin, I saw that style before looks good, I need to clean-up the manofold real good first, I did however used a silver metalic marker on the DOHC 16 V PARTS. Also the Modesty covers were 6.00 each 12.00 for the both. should have explained better. Also thank to all who posted pictures, and information at various times.

Hi ALBERT,

Great work on the modesty cover/intake assembly. I know it makes you feel good knowing that your pt has this kind of change for the better.

I've done a few things to my engine bay and it puts a smile on my face every time I get to open the hood. It turns into a huge smile when someone else is seeing it with me.

Keep up the good work.

Jerry

Awesome work! It's the little things that most people will never see that are the most fun for me. Still have some big things to address; but the little details are sources of pride and satisfaction.

Looks great! I love the way you did the DOHC lettering.

Here is what I am working on: I kind of like the block lettering better, but haven't decided yet.

I like the Ventiports, too. Where did you get them?
