I am thinking of buying and installing a woody kit for my 2002 Cruiser. Has anybody out there had any experience with this attempt?
Any suggestions? cautions? Am I crazy? Any products better than others? "It's almost impossible to overstate the medicinal properties of beer" |

Since I have posted, I've found a kit at http://www.ptwoody.com that looks promising. I'm checking it out. It's about $700 so I doubt that it's decals, but I will know more in a few days.

They are decals....bout the same thing as the Woody PT you can buy new from Chrysler, just a different style (look) but decals just the same, and 700 bucks isn't bad, I've fixed one Woody PT so far at the shop and it was over 700 just for one door and right at 500 for the quarter to replace it with the factory decals.

This is not just another graphics kit, or expensive, maintenance intense, real wood. The dark Marine Teak panels are a heavy Di-Noc vinyl, and the outer Santa Rosa Oak trim is a proprietary raised quarter round plastic molding that covers the edge of, and rises above, the Teak panels. This gives your Cruiser a true 3 dimensional light and dark wood surface just as the original Woody's had.

All components are shipped ready to install. The detailed instructions are designed for the first time installer and consist of two manuals, text and photo, showing all the details of the installation. Also, tech help from PT Woodys professional installers is only a phone call away. Hundreds of our kits have been installed by home enthusiasts, including an 80-year-old grandmother! But its not "wood".....vinyl, decal, the guy was thinking for 700 bucks the it couldn't be a decal "vinyl" but thats what it is, no different then the factory stuff, just the design.
