Default Question #2 about E & G grills

I purchased a E & G grill and love the look and workmanship. My question is for anyone who purchased one in the installation instructions they want me to paint the inside of the former grill area flat black also the grill below the bumper. Is this what everyone else has done? Iam a little squemish about spray painting anything on my baby. Oh yea thanks to Gary for the pics of his car with the grill. It really helped me make up my mind.

I did not paint - I decided to see how it looked - you can always take the grill off and paint later since the grill is so easy to install.
I DID use electrical tape along the edge of the top piece - has held up very well. I think it looks fine as is.

I used BLACK DUCT TAPE on those parts behind my grille that I wanted to "black-out". So far, this has worked fine--it has not peeled or come off after getting wet or being hit by road dirt, bugs, etc. Should the duct tape "fail" with time then I will probably use black paint as suggested by E&G. Really like the grille--excellent build-quality, perfect fit, and custom good looks. Highly recommend. [^] [8D]

Well I installed my grill last night after work. All I can say is WOW ! [:X] I love the look and the fit. I did not paint anything but it doesnt show all that much and like someone said I can always go back later and paint it. So Thanks to everyone who helped. [?]
