Default Dent in Trunk/Tailgate

I have a dent right below the handle/Chrysler logo on my PT cruiser and is similar to the image I found on one of BobHeine's post. I removed the trim on the inside and there is a welded support right where the dent is. Should I bother trying to pop this out myself or just take to a dent shop?

I would try to pop out as much as I could. Depending on the dent, you might not even know it was there.

I would take it to a Paintless Dent Repair shop, they can do miracles and as long as there is no break in the paint, it should come out pretty good. I've had numerous dings fixed with a PDR

Notice I didn't mention his username. It's for anyone (including Bob Heine) looking for a 01-05 back-up light.

Only kidding. Missed that part of his posting BUT other replies seem to indicate that they were talking about the dent in the picture posted.

There's pros and cons to paintless dent repair. If you have the time and means, get estimates from a trusted standard repair shop and a good paintless repair expert and compare guarantees and costs before you make your decision.

If your PT features that roll under rear bumper replacement that's shown in the photo, the rear hatch dent is the price you pay for the lack of protection with that type of a style statement. That's why, although I like the look, I'd never put one on SOOO BIG. Good luck.

Happy PTin', ptprice

I found two paintless dent companies near me with good reviews. I'll text pictures and see what the quote will be.
