Default Has anyone tried Invinca Shield ?

I have a friend that is doing this type of work (clear tint film on exterior of car paint) for a Ferari dealership. They swear by it.

Has anyone tried this or heard anything about it? I do alot of freeway driving and am dreading that first rock chip.

Thanks

Mike

If it's the 3M film, yeah, folks have had it done. Rocks will puncture it, it does minimize damage, and after time holes punched in it will allow water/polish to get underneath and you have to replace it, but it does work.

The 3 M film does what it sy it will do BUT but after it's been on for a while dirt starts builing up around the edges witch looks worse than the rock chips. No matter how good a job is done when it's put on you have to be blind not to see the edges. The only thing that will give you 100 % protection is to not drive the Cruiser. I have a couple of rock chips on my roof.

I use the one from xpel.com I had it installed on my 2004 PT. Best investment I could make on the car. Looks good and unless you are close you cannot see it. The color of my PT is silver. As far as the edges getting dirty...a used tooth brush takes car of that...
