Default Chrome accents

I am a newbie as I just picked up my Black Turbo with 5 speed and chrome wheels yesterday. I like the look of the chrome accent package available on the Touring and Limited and was wondering if anyone has bought these aftermarket add ons and what they thought of them? How was instalation? I am in Vancouver,Canada are there any Canadian companies selling these accessories? Thanks guys.

I too am pretty new to this forum, just bought a black GT two weeks ago. I also am hunting for chrome - so far I've found a bunch of stuff, check out Autotechnica headlight trim, APC Next Generation chrom tail lights. Beware of grills because they generally don't fit the GT unless you install a "kit" from one of those extruded chrome plastic kits. Good luck and enjoy.

Bob, the only grills I've seen on ebay are the plastic trim stick-on kits I was talking about. If you see a real grill that fits a turbo on ebay, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, get the item number for me. I've been checking under ebay motors...

Bob,

Don't mean to butt in. Jeff V. Here's the grill Bob was talking about on ebay. It's from a person who hand makes these grills and says he makes them to fit the regualr or turbo grills. Hers'a picture and the link from ebay. I think they are the stick-on type.

Hey CanuckGT
Have you checked any of the After Market Sites like Moss Motors, or Pteaser????
They have all kinds of add on and replacement grilles.
They both are listed on PT Links on the Main Page.
Moss Motors is Cruiserbits.com and Pteaser is Pteaser.com
Or you can checkout mine at my website listed below.

Geo, thanks for the feedback. The one you posted from ebay does look like one i saw, and emailed the guy and it was "extruded chrome plastic". Three other similar ads resulted in same response. Jody (I think) posted on ptdoityourself.net that after 10 months, it was necessary to replace the extruded chrome plastic inserts. I have checked every link on ptcruiserlinks.com and see no real shiny billet or chrome grill to fit the GT.

So, can I ask you to provide details on what that woody kit is? I know I read it was $100, more than the plastic grills but less than the "real" ones. What is it made of? Is it flat or does it curve around the grill? Did it have dry adhesive in the groove that you just pressed really hard? Are you thrilled with it? I mean, it looks fantastic from your website pics, but can it stand the test of time and weather?

Thanks a lot.

Ten bucks to the person who actually finds me a grill I love the looks of, that fits the GT and is billet or chrome, for under $400.

See if you like the E&G grille for the turbo and 03's with painted bumpers.
