When i bought my 03 Base PT, it did come with the rear deck standard. Sorry to hear that the dealer screwed you on it. Like they always say, "let the buyer beware!"

That sucks. Mine is a 2004 and of course it came with the rear shelf. I've seen the 2005's, and they come with it also. If I were you, I would have took one off a new PT, and hit the saleman with it! What the hell did he mean by it's not necessary? Would they give you a car with only 3 hubcaps, or 3 chrome wheels and one steel wheel? Check ebay, I see them all the time.

My 02 limited edition didn't have the modesty cover, I think the early 02's still did. I bought one from wickoff Chrysler online, along with the 3 mounting studs, I think altogether it came out to about $50. If you think it looks good, wait until you get it airbrushed!

I believe that now a rear cargo shelf isn't standard on the base '05s.
Also the Touring is now about what the base was - comes with steel wheels unless you option up alloys. Limited is basically what Touring was - comes with the painted alloy wheels, cloth, leather & chrome alloys options. Also, 180HP turbo isn't offered on Touring any more, only on limited. I'll be getting a limited, cloth, sunroof, painted alloys, turbo lite.

Anybody know if modesty cover fits the turbo? Wouldn't think so.[:I]

I've got an extra modesty cover I'll sell. Its painted yellow and has flaming black dice on it. I think I've even got extra studs for mounting it if someone needs them. I'll take $35 shipped.
