Default folding mirrors

Do you think the older style mirrors will fit on the GT?

At PTeazer, we have been replacing the 2003 mirrors, on GTs and others, with the folding mirrors and have had no issues. If you need the mirrors, check with your local dealers, they sell them in the parts department.

weren't the older mirrors also heated?. If so do you need to do additonal wiring to connect this part. Is it very hard to change the mirrors.Any info would be appreciated as I would also prefer the folding mirrors.

I just called my dealer and they said the folding mirrors (ON OLDER PT'S) are a different animal all together, they will not fit on the 2003 models, any more info?

Don't always believe your dealer, they told me that the rear bumper step-pad didn't exist (see my "installed step-pad" post). That being said - I'd like to know if it's a straight out swap or if some modifications are required to install the folding mirrors (I don't care about the heated part, I live in Florida). I have an 03 Ltd. Ed. and I'd like to be able to go to folding too!

We have done the swap several times here at PTeazer. The electrical plug on the 2001/2 to the plug on the 2003 is the same form, fit, function. We did not have to make mods...just changed them out...if you want to talk to us about this in depth, please call 877-783-2937, we'd be happy to help.
