We've decided to two-tone our Cruiser, with black over the cranberry. Definately want to put on a spoiler, so we gotta get it so it can be painted at the same time. But having a tough time deciding which one - the 'regular' one, the Xenon one or the new one that looks kinda like a cross between the two of them.
Been looking through websites and catalogs, but they just don't show enough of the car, or it's on different colored Cruisers. Does anyone have, or know the best place to look for, photos of Cruisers (preferably black) with the various spoilers? On a side note - it totally amazes me how many of the various spoiler descriptions state that it's not for use on a convertible... [:I] DUH!!! |

I personally like the style and fit of the OEM spoiler.

I prefer the OEM spoiler too, the other one really doesn't add much to a PT if you ask me.

I would go with the factory spoiler, because it can be bolted down to the body vs xenon its taped (I think). 2nd the OEM spoiler does do a pretty good job as a rear window dust protector (Of course, over time dirt and dust will collect on that back window, so don't think its a way to avoid washing your car
).

I bought my "factory" spoiler from Race & Street and I would highly recommend them for which ever one you choose. Regarding choices, here's my take for what it's worth: The factory unit looks good but it's pretty common. That new whale tail doesn't look too bad, mostly because it doesn't look so big as to be overdone (AKA "rice"!) I'd want to see one live just in case the pictures don't tell the whole story. If you do go black over cranberry, and thus a black spoiler, you might be able to arrange for a full credit if you get the whale tail and decide you hate it and would prefer the factory. Hey, it's worth a phone call, right?
