Default door trim

Like everyone's cruiser, near the bottom of the door's exterior are these long pieces that stick out about an inch or 2, located about 3 inches above the door bottom and run the length of the door. Has anyone ever seen a kit for removing them and replacing them with chrome/chromed plastic?

www.ptwarehouse.com has them made by E&G . Good price and quality . I got the plastic things off by heating them with a hair dryer , stuck a piece of plastic between the piece and the body , once I could get a hold on them just gradually heated and pulled them off from one end to the next . No problems and look great . Oh yea , these are stainless steel .

We did a price comparison on E&G's Body Side Accent Molding Set...

See it here:

Like OC CRUZER said, It is fairly easy to get those wingy thingies off the doors. Getting all the glue off is a different story, but it is possible. Once they are off you can leave the space as is because the area was painted before the wingy thingies were glued on. I have the E & G stainless steel pieces and think they look great. They help draw attention to my running boards and lake pipes.
