radio static with aftermarket hood..
I recently installed a Pteazer cowl hood and noticed an increased static interference coming through my sound system. After tracing my system I realized that I didn't reconnect the ground from the chasis to the rt. hood hinge. Bingo problem solved. After all this time working on various cars this was new to me, so if anyone is goingto replace there hood make sure that you reground the ground wire fromthe chasis to the hinge..

I actually saw that in another post.. I wonder what a fiberglass hood would do to static? I mean, does the metal hood absorb ignition static? [:I]

Some of the hoods are steel re-enforcecd. Might contributr.

I got a fiberglass Good hood and I have no problems with
static.
