Default Impact headlight protection

Has anyone installed the impact headlight protecters so they are removable. I want the etched glass flames on my headlights but in NJ it is illegal. I think if I installed the hard type from Revel I could remove them when it's time to go thru inspection or if I got hastled by "THE MAN" I called Revel yesterday and they told me they are not removable. I don't know what they are held on by. Any help would be appreciated

The Moss Motors headlamp protectors have a Serious adhesive on them.

Once you have bonded them down, they ain't going Nowhere.

I don't even want to think about what it would take to remove them. I suspect it would leave the headlights scarred and ugly.

IMHO They are a waste of money just put the flames on and that will help by itself. My Cruiser is over 3 years old and there are no marks on the headlights. Anything big would crack the headlight anyway. My friend bought several sets of the flame covers to sell ( snap on kind ) these would protect the light and pop off for inspection. I'm sure he will sell them for allot less than Moss.
