In case any Turbo owners have been looking for a good grille, here's the E&G Horizontal Billet Grille for '03 Turbo:

I like the looks Jeff. Was the lower section hard to install. After a quick look at the front of my GT it appeared that the lower grille section was molded with the rest of the underpanel rather than being a separate piece like the upper grille.

It took 35 minutes, and fifteen of those were spent reading the instructions. The top comes off with a monkey wrench very easily, four bolts then slide it up and out. The new one goes right back on the same way, but only two bolts.
The bottom one you just hold it up there and screw it into the plastic facia, four screws. The plastic stock grille is very soft, you can screw the screws in without drilling first (surprised me.)

Hey Jeff,
Is there enough room there (behind the lower grille)for a larger intercooler?? Joe |

wagon, I think I can say "I don't know" and answer your question at the same time... What I mean is, I don't know if there's enough room behind the lower stock grille for a larger intercooler, and since the billet grille screws into the existing lower facia, well maybe that answers your question, I hope?

Jeff--I really like the look. Two questions:
Where did you buy the grill? How much? Edited by - hrudey on 03/20/2003 12:54:15 |

Jeff, is that chrome or polished? Either way, is the entire 'FIN' or whatever it's called chrome/polished? Meaning, the part you can see is chrome/polished but how about the tops & bottoms of the FINS? Is that black? Maybe I'll just have to wait until i see ya again to check it out for myself. My question is confusing even to me...

Kev, I see those little guys doing "cheers" and I wanna know when we're really gonna have a beer. Or two. Not three, I'm driving! The front edge of the fins are polished billet, not chrome. The upper and lower edges of the fins are black. I don't know if you remember, but last time I saw you I had just the top on. Wait a minute. I know what you're thinking. You want to paint the upper and lower edges of yours electric blue! Hrudey, Thanks. It is the E&G Classics Polished Billet upper and lower grille for turbo. You can see them on ebay starting bid right around $300, Revel had them on sale for $339 I think. Assuming you have a turbo, when you order, be sure the model number ends in GT, not 01.
