Default TYC Backup and Tail lights

I'm planning on purchasing the TYC Backup and tail lights. I've seen several threads where people changed the bulbs on them as well. Is there a problem using the factory bulbs with them? I'm trying to save money where ever I can. I recently spent a very significant amount on some chrome, engine dressing, sway bars & tower struts, S1, Borla dual exhausts, etc. I know with the amount of money I spent on the above mods, a few $$$$ on some bulbs shouldn't matter, but the more I can save, the more mods I can get.

Yes you can use the original bulbs from the OEM back-up lights. I changed mine to chrome coated just to be a little different.

Not sure what TYC tail lights look like.If they are clear
you may have to get amber bulbs for your turn signals.Other wise
OEM bulbs are fine.

Thanks. These are the ones I purchased. If the ones I received are exactly what is on the photo, then I should have no problem.

I have the same ones in black and used the original bulbs. Love the lights and no problems with them so far.

crazy.eddie, what color did you go for? I alsohave a graphite metallic... I thought the chrome might be too "rice boy" and the black might be too much of a contast... perhaps the carbon fiber? Which one did you choose?

I went with the chrome. It doesn't look that bad, since I have some chrome fuel door & chrome side spears that it accents with, which you can see here...

I thought about the carbon fiber also, but don't have anything in the exterior with a carbon fiber look.

BTW, nice car

I was planning to paint my calipers, but I didn't know how it would look with the GT rims. It looks very nice on yours, so I may do the same sometime. Otherwise, I might just hold painting them until summer.

You're right, the chrome does look gret, and fits well with all the other chrome! Ah, decisions... maybe I should photoshp my car with the different colors to see how it might look. thanks for the photo!

eddy , those are cool. Didn't know that the

cover sticks out kind of like a bubble.

The "chrome coated" bulbs... do they add to the brightness at all? Or does it jus add to the loook of the bulb during the day when the bulb is off? Also, does anyone find the TYC lights "less brighter" than the original lights? I mean do these lights compromise on safety at all? Thanks for the photos!
