I don't have to lift the doors to get in. It opens about 18 to 20 inches outward. This is plenty of room for me to get in and out.

What sort of modification do you have to do to the doors and jams? Estimate on the kit price? Where did you find the kit?

The only mods that I did was to the fender and hinge area. On the hinge area was two brackets that the fender was bolted to. I had to drill holes through the spot welds to remove them. Also, on the fender were two brackets that were bolted to the brackets that I removed from the hinge area. I used a sheet metal cutters and cut them off. I doesn't affect the remounting of the fender. The instructions are generic and are not for the PT. The kit is $2195. This includes shipping and no tax (if you don't live in Cali) You can get the kit from www.verticaldoors.com. Yes the kit is expensivebut it is a new product and demand dictate price.

So they first open out, then up?
