Checkout these sites I found on locking fuel doors...
EverythingOffRoad BrandSport After looking at them closely, they appear to be the same. |

Me too. I have the locking gas cap, but find it a pain to open the gas cap with tons of keys. I think it would be easier to unluck the fuel door...easier access.

I'm just glad I live in an area where I don't have to worry about having to lock the gas cap/door.

I just ordered the polished, locking fuel door, which is not what is pictured in the photo of the URL. I'll post pics when I get it installed.
If I like it, then I'll probably sell my locking gas cap. No need to lock both the fuel door & gas cap, well, maybe if (hopefully not) the gas get's up to $5 or even $10 a gallon I may need both.

Heard on the news the price of barrels went down 3 dollars. Which means more profit for the gas mogul.
What about the factory chrome gas door like mine. Can't find it anywhere to show you and I don't have a great pick of it in my stash. I bought the locking gas cap. Big deal for my area, I have had people open my gas door before and spin my gas cap around. I would have never though in this area.

Here is an update. I finally got the locking fuel door and it was rather simple to install. I kind of like the lock look on the fuel door, since it's kind of different. The only problem is that the locking mechanism makes contact with the door and does not close all the way. The only way to close it so that it is flushed is to push the fuel door in and then lock it. This doesn't seem to cause any problems with any kind of sensors, since I understand that if the gas cap is not locked in all the way, I would see an engine code. I also reverted back to the OEM gas cap, since I have no use for the locking gas cap. The only problem is, there is no place to hook the cord on, so I may have to drill a hole for it. Or I may just use 3M auto tape to stick it inside, so it doesn't look cheezy. I also will not be using the gas cap clip, since the door opened is smaller opened compared to the OEM fuel door. Being smaller, I would have no room for the pump if I put the gas cap clip. The good thing is, if I mount the OEM gas cap with the chord, I could just hang the chord on the locking mechanism of the locking fuel door.
Here's a pic of the locking fuel door in the locked position... ![]() Here's another pic in the unlocked position. As you can see, it does not close all the way... ![]() I can see why the locking fuel door is not very popular with PT'ers, since it interferes with the gas cap. Although I'm kind of anal about things, it's not really bothering me (YET). ![]()
