Had the local Cadillac dealer paint my bumpers and mirrors since the Chrysler dealer wouldn't do it. Later had them paint the door pillars. Don't remember the cost but well worth it.

For those of you who had your mirrors done professionally, what did it cost, for prep and paint. I can remove and re-instal, but I am not very good with paint at all. I would end up getting runs and such.

I am been wanting to do this a while, but havent had the time, plus its my daily driver, so I cant really go without mirrors! I am planning to put in the new mirror glass that has the turn signal lights behind the mirror, so I would like to have it done at the same time, again, I can do all the mechanical, but I just dont know how to paint and prep.

Thanks,
Matt

It cost me 100 dollars, total and they did a great job.
The pillars were 150 dollars. More work taking them off.

wow weird, i just walked in from removing all my pillars and mirrors for paint.

I was rear ended a while ago and my rear taillight and area was damaged, me and my dad did the body work but im taking it to a pro for paint, i asked him about the mirrors and pillars and he said he would do them for another $100 if i removed them. DEAL! so i just got them all off, took me about an hour, also I have aftermarket mirrors, with the indicators in the back, they are smooth unlike the factory mirrors so could posibly be why they are that much cheaper then other prices quoted on here.

you can kinda see my mirrors in my sig pic.

SuGamer..have you seen the chrome mirror covers or the "flamed" covers? Here is just one place that has them. This may be an alternative if you would rather have chrome than black. The 300C's have chrome mirror covers if you want to see something in person because a local cruiser may not have sprung for these.

ooohhhhwwweeee!!! redhotpt's got it goin on with the painted pillars. I had the mirrors done about 5 weeks ago and now it doesn't look like a cheap geo metro or some other POS. Talked the dealer into it, actually kinda embarassed him into it and they are awesome!!!! Cost $150. I was talking with Ray at Pteazer last week and he said he gets $250. It is a lot of prep work to get it right. I would have painted myself but figured the prep was a nightmare w/o air tools. I think I have decided to get the pillars painted but after I just spent about $5k in all the mods I am seriously broke. So have to save up a little $. Running boards, mirrors painted, roll pan, dvd player and amps and speakers and stuff. Progress springs and strut bar, and oh yeah alomost forgot new 2/color interior w/door panels. I hated the cloth krappe that it came with. Who ever was responsible for that should be hung up by there genitals. What a stupid material to put in a car. You could not even vacuum a dust bunny from it. Had to use a lint brush and packing tape for a show. If anybody has a contact em address for Chrysler engineering I would love to have it! I really don't want to add up all the receipts!!!! aarrrgghhh it would really go bad if my wif ever saw them as I always fuged a little on the items when she asked. And when you tell her that the dvd was only $300 they go that much! And I say yeah that's a lot, but look how great the picture is!!!! LOL
I'll take some pics over the holidays with my bud's camera and post them as I can't afford a digital camera.
