Default LED washer longevity

This morning, I noticed one of my LED washer lights was out - a chance it's the wiring, but my first guess is it died - this is already my second set - shouldn't they last? They're cheap enough, but removing those damn hood blanket pins is such a hassle...
Just ranting...[xx(]

Don,

After I put the polshed stainless steel under the hood, I certinally didn't want to have to take that down if the washer lights went out, so I connected the hot wire from the lights (ground wire would work also)to an in-line on/off switch and now only use the washer lights at shows and events where I want to show them off not every time I turn the headlights on.

I have mine on a switch (ground) but use them nearly all the time. I thought one of the main advantages of LEDs (aside from less heat) is that they last way longer than bulbs with no filament to burn out...[:I]

10,000 hours, no heat 100% of the energy is converted to light, vibration resistant, should not burn out.
maybe they dont like the cold either?

Finally got to checking the wiring - it seemed okay, tried them again - I noticed the "bad" one wasn't dead, but very dim. It was lighting, but at about 25% the intensity of the other one. ?????
For now, I may throw a resistor inline with the bright one so at least they look the same 'till I get a new pair.
Easy to replace - except for that damn hood blanket with those pins [xx(]

LED's typically only dim if the voltage to them is reduced or the lens is dirty. You likely have excessive resistance in one of the wires frequently a bad ground) if it comes on at all.

I'll check again, but I have both hot and ground wires from the 2 lights paired. It's not the lens.
