Just ordered my lake pipes... should be here in time for the weekend. Hopefully I'll be installing them this weekend...
Just a quick question.. how difficult an install is this? Doesn't seem like it will be too hard... just want to check so I can prepare myself. Thanks. |

Wyzard,
If your talking about the fake lake pipes, it's pretty easy. If they are the same as mine, Take the two clamps on either side and hand tighten them down so you can place them where they will go and mark the spots. I needed to drill two holes on each side that go thru the double flange that hangs down under the cruiser. Two extra sheet metal screws straight up into the undercarrage for the upper support. Oh heck...a picture is worth a 1000 words, as they say. Just went out to the gargae and jacked up the back wheel and took this picture (ain't digital pictures great) so hope you can see how it goes.

Mine are installed under my E & G running boards so the install is a little different than normal. I used the brackets that Mooneyes sells for their lake pipes. The lake pipe brackets were bolted to the steel supports for the running boards.
