Borla Dual Exhaust

Picked up a set of Borla duals for $100 from someone that sold his PT. He only had them on for a couple of months so they were practically new.

Didn't you have them before? I see cut outs on your bumpers? or did they do that when you installed? gary[:I]

Same question here? And if you didn't, what did it cost you to get the other cut out and have it painted?

I only had the DynoMax single exhaust before. I took a piece of paper and traced the outline of the OEM hole. Found exactly where the second exhaust would come out and took a magic marker and drew a half circle where I needed it cut. The guy at the muffler shop used my marker line to cut the hole with a dremmel tool. No painting was necessary. It's not perfect, and tiny flaws can be seen if you get really close but you almost have to get down on your hands and knees to see it.

Let me start off by saying that I didn't buy the PT for a performance car. I have a Vette for that. I needed a second car for a daily driver. I do want it to run well and keep up with traffic and it does just fine. It might be my imagination, but after having the dual exhaust installed, It felt as though I had lost a bit of lower end torque. I used to be able to stomp on it from a stand still and squeal the tires (not much...more of a 1 foot patch of rubber). It doesn't do that now, it just takes off, goes thru the gears and when it reaches the power band, has an extra small kick of acceleration.
