GT window tinting

Well, I’ve held off for two years now… I’m getting the front windows on my ’03 GT tinted tomorrow.[8D] I’ve read about others who have had their tint scratched on their ’03. I’m looking for your feedback and suggestions. Is there any hope for me- Any ‘03’s out there that haven’t had this problem?[:I]
Has this only happened when the window is rolled completely down? Anybody done a work around? Thanks for your help.

Yep, I had my front windows tinted first thing and made the mistake of putting them down all the way and there is a nickle size scratch mark about 5 inches from the top of the window. Once i discovered it it was of course too late the damage was done but, I don't put my window done all the way since either. So, if you're gonna, don't put you're window down all the way. The scratch isn't horrible. The tinting is still there but, it is noticible from the inside. I sorta remember others talking about some sort of window guide inside the door the does this and putting something over it to stop it but thats beyond my relm. So, I live with it. I don't recall if it's on the passenger's side door too. In any case we rarely roll down the windows on my car anyway. Have bad allergies and Asthma (cabin air filter),so I keep my car closed at all times all year long.

Its probably just one of those things, its going to happen or its not. Mine didn't.

Hmmm.... I've had the fronts on my '03 tinted and there's no trouble at all with scratching. I asked the installer about that possibility and if they'd had any issues with PT Cruisers. He said they'd never had any problems. Maybe Red GT just has an unlucky adjustment on his window mechanism or something.
