Inasmuch as you live in the the San Francisco Bay area check with this PT Cruiser Club as I'm sure they can recommend a good painter to do those custom flames your GT is screaming for: http://p220.ezboard.com/bptcruisersofsiliconvalley

However, if you would prefer to drive north to Seattle here is a great place to get the work done: http://www.dunnautographics.com/

Good luck.

my dad had a great job done by a gal in modesto,
gave her the car for 4 days total.

she can put it in top of your paint or
put clear on top of it for more money.

try Denise Corbett 209-614-1169

it's takes alot of time and is not cheap,
but her work is worth it.

Well, if you're screaming for flames, why not take a ride to Snohomish, WA and visit http://www.killerpaint.com

I've heard a guy by the name of Mike that works there paints some pretty nice flames. Bit pricey, but worth it!

Mike Lavallee does awesome work especially if you want realistic flames...

...but be prepared to wait awhile to get the work done and make sure you have lots of money in your bank account! [:0]

thanks for the suggestions. we found a local custom body shop that has done hundreds of beautiful flame paint sets. after the painting and suspension work, we'll add a photo of the car to our signature. tom and marj

I've seen a hundred flamejobs and most are ok. There is only ONE I've ever seen that really looked good, and it was a black PT. I think it is the one that Gary posted. I'd suggest seeing more closeups of that job, and comparing to jobs of the place you are considering, because if you're going to do flames, you only want a fantastic job. Otherwise, it looks cheesy.
