My APC Gen 1's have a small crack on the side... but its nothing big at all, its on the corner and is about half an inch long and a millimeter wide. I have also had a lot of trouble with the actual bulbs they supply you. The first problem was after i had them all in, the turn signals were blinking too fast, so i had to replace a couple with my old bulbs. I then just replaced the other 2 with the old style bulbs because of one not working right. The new style bulb would come on when it felt like it, and not dim properly.

I bought the Chrome covers for the stock tail lights, I can't easily replace the stock lights due to having Police strobes in the existing lights

I made up a set of custom lights using APC.
To see them you will have to do a search and
type in, GTPT's new taillights.

I used Krylon Stained glass paint, like the look also.
Just can't get a shine on them, tried to spray clear
on one. And the paint lifted in spots, so had to repaint
the red. Have a new look now, but on carbon fiber covers.

Jeff V

Have you noticed any signs of the next gens melting yet?? I bought mine in December. I tried to run the APC LED Bulbs and the one on the drivers side kept failing ( 3 Bulbs in 4 months) so I went back to the factory bulbs. They seemed fine but over the summer I have noticed some discoloration of the foil around the outside of the brakelight. Funny though it is only on the Driver's side.

I suspect I may have a votage issue on the drivers side...

nbr, I just put mine on in early June. I've been watching closely and see no trouble brewing at all. Will post again if it changes. Thanks for the headsup about the foil. Anybody know of any other bulbs that would put out less heat other than the LED that seem to cause other problems?
