Default Passenger AirBag cover scratch/crack?

Anyone else noticing cracks and/or "scratches" on their passenger-side airbag cover? I'm talking about the plastic panel that's a "carbon fiber"/grey/black kind of color that is painted body color on the non-GTs.

I keep seeing what look like scratches appearing on mine, even though I don't recall ever hardly touching the panel, much less having something against it that would scratch it.

Perhaps these are actually cracks that are now propagating due to heat stress and/or release of stress from the forming process at manufacture? Whatever it is, I don't like it!

No cracks or scratches on my passenger-side airbag cover--had my GT since 2/21/03 (almost 4000 miles). Recommend you see your dealer as the problem should be covered under warranty. Good luck

Gary - thanks for the input. My GT was delivered in late Oct and I have ~9700 miles on her.

Upon further thought, it *could* be that my windowshade is scratching the AirBag cover up when I install/remove it. I gotta be more careful about that!
