Default Interior light color change???

Has anyone changed to colored bulbs in their map lights or dome lights? What colors have you used? Was it bright enough, or was it just annoying? And my final question, what are the bulb sizes to be used in either the map or dome lights?

I've been thinking about changing it up a bit, but wanted to get some opinions on it first. Thanks!

Brian

I met SakiGT at the Daytona Cruisin and she did the dome light in blue. Painted it, don't remember what kind of paint but maybe she'll read this thread. It looked nice and mellow. I should have taken the time and let her do mine. Map lights I am not sure it would be bright enough. Do the dome light and if you like that put the bulb in the map light for a test run.

yobiebs,
Welcome to the Del Val PT Cruisers!
Check out GT Cruzr /Tammy when you see her. She did the interior bulbs in purple.

Yep, I painted the bulbs purple. I went to the craft store and bought the paint that could be used on glasses, stoneware and could be baked up to 350 degrees. It came out awesome. It is also transparent paint. Cost $2.99 and only used a very little. Mine are purple.

Another member of the Del Val PT Cruisers liked the idea and found the "sleves" that cover the map lamps and they look cool. However he can not find a sleve that will cover the dome. I think he is going to paint it. I have seen the sleves in red, blue and green only at Autozone and Walmart.
