The last run I had in the car, i had put the wrong octane fuel in the car because someone told me that their fuel at a gas station was 89 and it wasnt, so i was racin this chevy pickup and it blew up. I won the race, but lost the engine. It had 210,xxx miles on it when it went up tho.

Owning a turbo back then was much more of an adventure.

I wasn't refering to the size of the grill opening, yes its bigger but doesn't really play a part in why the pieces are different. The pieces are different because of the shape of the lower part of the facsia. On the turbos it's rounded and a bit lower to allow room for the intercooler.

Actually, if you count the rows of dividers you'll see the rectangles are larger in size. I don't have my GT anymore, but at the time, I had both a na and my turbo and I checked them out because someone on the forums mentioned the difference. Like I said it shouldn't matter for the person who just drives point A to point B. I know people who have cut that section out to increase air flow and have installed black plastic mesh to keep the stones away from the intercooler.

How do the side pieces mount ? You have to cut the part of the inner fender trim thats on the bottom of the front ? How do the under sides of the side pieces attach ? Do they just hang straight down, or do they go back and mate up to the pinch welds ? How do the front pieces attach ? Any underside pics ?

The side pieces have 3 little metal tabs that get pop riveted to the rocker panels. The side piece then clips into the metal tabs.It also has 2 way tape that runs the length of the rocker panel.it has 4 tabs that go under the car and get mounted by self tapping screws .You have to cut the front mud flap type peice and reshape to fit (not as hard as it sounds)Pretty easy install. It comes with templates and all hardwear. The thing i hated the most is when you look at the side of a pt and see the ugly pinch weld. These side skirts cover the pinch weld and give the side of the car a nice clean look.

I really want the kit, im just worried that putting all these holes in the rocker panels will cause rust. I guess I'll have to get silicone put around the rivets and the screws.

The front pieces, do they go back and rest against the plastic air dam piece ?

I sort of had my own front valence and skirts that I came up with, and I dont really want to have to remove that from the plastic valence because there will be holes left ya know.
