Default Tail Lens Cover

Was at the Ballon Fest on saturday, and got some new ideas for mt GT.
I searched up and down on the internet and can't find the
tail lens covers that i liked on a PT. They were chrome with
only 1 divider separating the brake and signal sections, can
someone please post a link,
Txs Nick

Nick,

I have a couple dozen accessory sites on my favorite list and I went thru a few of them with no luck. I've never seen the tail light covers that you are talking about but it doesn't look that hard for someone to take the 3 section cover and make it into 2. Maybe that's what you saw.

I've seen the ones you're talking about on some site. I think it was either the japanese pt web vendor or the german one.

Try ptcruiserparts.co.jp

Good find Jeff. All my sites are in the U.S. I wonder how much L155,000 translates into $$$? But if it's what NkBkGt is looking for then price won't matter.

The company is MDS. Painted ones are around $85. Chrome ones run $175. I got mine from PTCRUISERPARTS.com but that was last August. If you get them and want to dicuss installation, start a thread when ready. Might try a thread under"Classified" because there were some for sale a while back.

P.S. After looking at my wife's PT, I thought I'd better add this caution: the covers are double tiered. On chrome ones this helps soften the mass of the covers but makes them stand proud of the lights or fenders. If they're painted body colored, this will look like bumps or "warts" on the fenders. The flatter three-sectioned ones or the "PT" ones will fit more closely to the lens and give a smoother overall appearance.

Thats for the input,
What my plan was to put a carbon fiber film over the
painted (was told by friend it is a bad idea)
tailights and then the painted MDS covers.
Now I'm just gonna put on carbon fiber tail lens
cover, should look good with the Probeams on the front.
Txs Nick
