They have one on the yellow APC PT Cruiser, along with the hood.I think the hood design sucks, but I like the idea of the hatch.I wish they offered the hatch with a 'window delete' option, so I could just get rid of the back glass and save even more weight.
And yes, it's paintable.Just like fiberglass.

The hood is paintable. the yellow pt being referred t had some of the hood left CF and the rest painted yellow. Cool design cause you would think the hood is yellow with painted carbon fiber pattern, not the other way round.

Has anyone used this carbon fiber hatch? Is it paintable? I an looking to get one of these to replace my damaged rear hatch but wanted to get some more information before I ordered one.
Paintable. Although Im not one to rice out my car, Id still like to be able to see that CF. Either stencil out some flames, or what I was going to do was use "pearl" paint so it would look blue (stock) or carbon fiber...depending on which angle you looked at it.

Things to consider: Glass? Proper fitment (APC sucks at this).

IMO, Id go for it. Get the check and spend it the way YOU want to.

Yeah, I always liked it when people used the underlying CF within their paint schemes (we were doing this 10 yrs ago in the sport bike scene when i lived in the UK).. too bad they don't have hood/fenders (even doors) though - then someone could do a nice design off it. And the weight savings would be nice indeed

It'd be a LOT cheaper to fill the tires with Helium!

Xr8d Lidds is a Canadian company located in Hamilton. They make the trunk lids that Modern performance sells for the SRT. I currently have one of their hoods on my car.
