To install any head light bulbs, just turn the wheels all the way to the right to install the left bulb and to the left to install the right bulb. I did not remove the wheels. By the way these bulbs came in mopar boxes so any chrysler dealer shold be able to get them, they are for the low beams only.

I don't want a Xenon fake bulb, I have a set of real High Intensity Discharge bulbs and ballasts from Hella Germany on my low beam, what I want is to get rid of the orange side marker and bulb. There's a Euro Spec headlight that has none of that plus a little white bulb on the corner for "city lights"

Hi all, read your messages lol i`ve got the european h/lights you are talking about (and they are GREAT) lol
not got a number but can try to get one for you.
My Pt is the CRD 2.2 diesel which has loads of bottom end torque in comparison to the UK 2 litre petrol. Chrysler wont import your 2.4 or GT PT engines into the UK (real pity)

PT driving is the way to go

The GT PT is not going to the UK???
France is supposed to get it in November and thus the rest of mainland Europe as well...that is really bad news for you (no turbo)...

How hard were the Silverstars to install? I heard something that you have to take the wheel off in order to reach the area. Is this true? Could you give me the directions on how to install them?
I just finished putting in the SilverStars and they look and work great. They are very difficult to install as the standard PT bulb is a 9006XS and the SilverStars are a 9006ST. The difference is that the ST has a 90 degree bend at the base of the bulb so the connector is VERY tight against the rubber seal inside the headlight housing, my fingers are sore from trying to turn it in.

Taking off the wheel would have been a bit easier, but not much. You can do what rustcan suggested and turn the wheels side to side to gain access to the headlight bulb panel cover in the front wheel well.

I'll try to get some pictures of the difference between the stockers and the SilverStars. I still have the fog lights as stock so you can really tell the difference. The fog lights are an easier swap as they use the 9006ST bulb stock.

So this means, that if i get two sets of the same silverstars, i can swap out my fog lights too?

Yes... you'll need 2 sets (4 total) of the 9006ST SilverStars both the low beam and fog lights.

Silverstar 9006[u]XS</u>: http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/...?TOPIC_ID=4020

Installation tip: Remove tire completely. Don't risk tainting the bulb with dirt smudge.

Daddykool - The PT forum(s) out there would appreciate it if you would get DC part numbers for the euro headlights/citylights. This subject has come up many times before! Thanks in advance.

Hey Stephen R., thanks for the heads up on the new (Chrysler only it would seem) SilverStar 9006XSST. I guess that I'll move those 9006ST's to their proper location (the fog lights) once I grab the Mopar branded SilverStar 9006XSST.
