Default Headlight mod...

Thought Id post some new pics. These are in the other exterior section also, but dont seem to be getting many responses. Awhile back, I painted my headlights body color, havent seen many done that way. I also replaced the amber reflectors with some white reflective DOT tape, and changed the bulbs to the sylvania corner bulbs. Very clean look. I also took my lower air dam off and painted it to match, and replaced the rubber.

Sorry if the pics are dark, the suns going down.

Hey their Slayer,

I figured you were gonna pick up on that one.

I'm still really thinking about it but not sure what color I would paint them. I am thinking if i were to do them that I might go with either a Tangerine, or maybe black, but in a Candy Paint which is a little more transparent, and shoul kinda still let the chrome underneath show through making it have a kind of anodized look to it which might be pretty cool. Definitely a cool mod, but Its just one of those things I am still on the fence with.

Thats what I got on my end so far anyways.

Seeing as how you have the black flames, yours might look better black. Altho, the pics of mine dont really do it justice. I will try to get some better pics when i get some time.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I was under the impression you HAD to have so many sq in of Amber reflector in the front headlamps.

I drove with those lights on my mustang for 2-3 years.
No amber or and reflectiveness in the turn signal.
They were also DOT approved surprisingly enough.

The bulbs I have in there still blink amber. As long as you dont drive like an idiot, or draw unwanted attention to yourself, most of the time the police wont bother you. Well, they dont around here anyway.
