Anyone found anything to replace this dust catcher?

Check this out. I saw them at a PT show but I don't care for the mirror look. You might like it though.

GTSteve,
Thanks, saw this also, not me either. I may just have a piece of stainless flat metal cut and have someone paint something on it for me, or maybe just colored alum. coil stock, cant be that hard, hand them the tray tell them to add 1/8" all around and we would have a solution. I am just not good with metal. I just HATE the coin holder. I love everything else inside, but it.

Ahh just gave my idea away and it will probably be in poduction by Monday morning. LOL

I see from your mods, most of which I also have + Stage 1, and our colors, we have like tasts. If you ever see anything or have any friends who work metal keep me in mind please.

Thanks.

With Fall and Winter coming, I plan on holding off on any more mods until spring. Unless, Stage 2 comes out and it looks good.

Spoke to the owner of this small "Mom & Pop" company yesterday who told me they will be coming out with a [u]new design</u> in the next 2-3 months--coin holder with a cover. He says when the unit is installed in your car there is "no glare" to be concerned about. Also, he hopes to redesign the top so it will be more "scratch resistant." I will be giving this new piece a close look when it comes to market as I want to get rid of the stock rubber coin holder.

Gary04GT, do you have any input to these folks? I would like to see us just remove the tray, put an insert in min. depth and have another junk hole or a FLUSH insert with nothing but a smooth cover, no mirror or plexi, but something with class(chrome?), anything but the change holder, or that nasty looking plexi, mirror thing. Please let me know as soon as I can buy one for a preview.

How about a piece of dull black, or your color preference, plastic with chrome, or your color preference, lettering spelling your name, your PT's name, etc?

Make it a weekend project []

These folks are just a phone call away in Oregon: 1-503-936-1151. The owners name is "Steve" and he appreciated my questions and suggestions made regarding his products. He said he has had requests for a stainless steel cover but he is not able to do this because of the expense. Give him a call should you or anyone else want to see this product modified/improved.

Well I live in Pa but will call. If I can get the guy to run something maybe for enough of us who want something, mass ordering, I will see. I would settle for polished alum, would love stainless though. I still have to pull the thing again to look at it good, might just do the thin insert of flat metal spayed ElecBlue or maybe black, hmmm, will think on that. I have some people gonna call here in PA, cutting and fitting 1 by hand will be a bitch out of anything, but then you have a jig. If that is finished on the sides when you pull the change holder out then it could be a 1/8" lite and that would give great drop in fit. Like I said it has me, so will try to work it out for something classy and simple.
