I would get an inline fuse holder (they come with the same "blade-type" fuses as stock) - take a feed off battery, run heavy gauge wire to fogs, come thru firewall in the grommet for the hood release cable, and put an on-off switch in the panel under radio or inside the steering wheel column.
I did that for an Aoogah horn on my '02 and on my '05. Fogs could be the same.
I put in a relay so the switch only carried the relay amperage.

Just want to add-
In some states, it is against the law to have fogs come on without running lights - in that case, add a relay and feed the relay off a feed from running lights.
Also, with a manual switch, fogs will also stay on with brights - another relay on the high beam lead could take care of that, too.
May sound like a lot, but the relays are small and cheap.

Yeah, if you want to tear into wiring harness, and have no slack in the wires to work with... I'd think running new would be easier...

You need the computer to recognize that the MFswitch is present.
Standard switch doesn't have the same functions upon switch contacts.

Can I not just bypass all this an tap into the head light wires under hood and just wire relays in so then i wont need the multifuction switch they would just turn off and on when she turns off and off the head lights from what i have been reading it should work
From what i am reading by adding the relay should not put a huge draw on head light wires or cause them to melt any one no more about this ??

I just dont wanna melt her factory headlight wireing from doing this from what it seams is that the one lead of 4 in the relay just taps into headlight wire is only used to turn relay switch off and on and not to power fogs the other lead goes right to battery is where the will get power from for 12v and other lead goes to ground and last lead is power wire to fogs sound right???

If you use the headlight or running light wire to energize the coil of a relay, it won't fry the wiring - a relay coil doesn't draw much - I did it for my LED washer lights - got the relays at radio shack.
You could still put a switch in series with the coil wire - the fogs could only come when headlights or running lights are on, but you could turn them off.

I got a 30amp relay tonight at Canadian Tire for $5 so will that be ok to use to do this not worried about adding a switch just as long as it wont melt wires or blow fues doing it this way and turn off and on with headlights I will be happy
