Default My New Paint Job

Just got my GT back from the shop. The brown swoop has metallic flakes in it which doesn't show well in these photos. Note the Road Runner on the hatch. The guy who did the work is a true artist. Other mods include Flowmaster Duals, a K & N drop in filter, removed the in and out baffles on the air box and completely insulated the airbox with rubber strips. Check it out at http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/445652 .

Looks real nice Mel K. I like the way it was started very thin by the grill (which looks good also) and then widen as it got further back. Hum, Ft. Lauderdale isn't too far to go for a good artist!

Looking GOOD! [8D] That Road Runner on the hatch is a nice--wonder if you noticed any horsepower gain with him doing some of the work to help out the turbo? [8)]

Thanks for the comments. The Roadrunner is there to let all the Wiley Coyotes in my area know what left them in the dust.

Mel, simply FANTASTIC! may I ask you something. Did he manage to just paint the graphic design without re painting the car? how about the clear, did he clear the panels as well? and last, how much did it cost, Thanks Gary

The shop removed the clear coat and hardware and then painted the swoop and Roadrunner. They are applied a heavy clear coat that they claim will resist chipping more than the stock paint job. The entire job, which also included redoing the rear bumper which had some deep scratches, ran $2 grand. The brown swoop is outlined with a gothic red border which doesn't show well in the photos. The brown also contains a metallic flake that glistens in direct light. On an earlier job, they installed the billet grill. I had them paint the lower grill black before installing the new lower portion. This eliminates the "show through" of the o.e.m. lower portion. Also included in the paint job, they installed my "beep, beep" horn. If you are new Ft. Lauderdale and want their name and number, I will be happy to supply it. I later joined the Florida Cruisers and have found out that this shop offers a 10% discount to members.

Very nice, the color of the swoop compliments your car. Nice and elegant.

Got my vote too and the cost is not that much considering what was done! I think calif has a higher labor rate for painting too!
