Default any nods for this ugly plastic thing?

in my pic. that big ass black plastic tube running beside the air intake, with heat sheild type stuff (whats it called?)

anyone make a mod for this ugly thing, chrome, paint, looms etc????

My manual calls it the "charge air hose". If you look, it goes from the intercooler to the throttle body. This hose delivers cool air to the intake. Air goes from the turbo to the intercooler then into to the intake. This is the first time I've really looked at what is going on with the intake. If you follow the path of the air from the air cleaner to the turbo to the intercooler to the intake, you will find that the air makes a complete circle around the engine. Kinda cool really.

I agree that it is not pretty but I really doubt that there is a mod for it. I haven't seen anything on the web. A person might be able to cover it with something "pretty". Maybe some type of wrap. Anyone????

I think Hector from exhaust Depot was thinking about making a metal one for the SRT and GT. Haven't heard other details yet.

Hardpipe. Should run around $125-150 through a local speed shop. Powdercoat it to match. Thats what Im doing eventually.
