Default Painted Brake Rotors

Better picture now posted.

Used a good self etching primer, and as close a Electric Blue as my eye would allow. Looks ok to me, will post a better pic in my tag when it stops raining long enough.

Looks real nice LAF. Did you take everything off to paint? Speaking of paint, what brand did you use?

LAF, that's fantastic, caliper looks great and I really like what you did with the rotor. [^]

Bike looks great also, I've got a 75 XLCH, bored/stroked, mild cam. You can check it out on my home page under 'Misc. Photos'. I wasn't as brave as you, I had someone else do the engine work.

Umm...I bet your drivers side brakes are a lot hotter than the other side. [:I]

I used rattle cans from Pep Boys. I did mask it all off and then cut it out with a blade. As always prep is all the time. Used a dremel tool with brush to clean it all. Then lots of brake cleaner. Car only had 1000 miles on it so all was in nice shape. Did take the pads out of the front. Did this on my Tacoma and it had 80,000 on it and still looked like new, and did not prep and do it as well as this time. The rears came out nice as I did the back dust cover instead of the top of the rotor so I have the same "3 line" look in the back.

IRPT, Fellow "girls bike" owner huh? LOL If I was wrenching on a 75XLCH I would have most of it done at a good Indy. Little harder on a 28 year old bike, with parts at a premium and information scarce.
