I had the first gen taillights and they cracked and melted. First i emailed apc and the emailed me back with a number to call. I called them and they asked me what the problem was. when i told them, they gave me a return authorization number so i could send my defective lights. the sent me the gen 2 lights, but now they too are getting condensation in them(have them for 3-4 months.)so to make a long story short, even if they do replace your lights, they still will send you a piece of crap to replace them.

[8]Hey there brother I know what you mean
here what I have decided to do about it
the lense it made buy Hella so thats not so bad
there is a lenes type cover for the lights it bubles around the light like what you might be looking for I have black ones it looks cool as good as it ever will without alteeza style frames now you need to help me find some place that makes a round fitting around the bulb like that aorund the bulb of the BMW's

I just don't get it. I've had mine on, using the OEM bulbs, for a year now and have had zero problem. I got mine off ebay for $88 because I didn't want to pay $150 in case they'd melt like others have posted. In fact, a guy in my PT Cruiser Club's started melting and he had to get the LED bulbs, no more melting for him. So why do some seem so crappy and others fine? I wonder if the later manufactured ones were better made. I last checked mine a week ago. Perfect.
