Just a word of caution I bought the oil cap mentioned first in this topic and it is having some trouble sealing and according to my dealer. It is leaking oil vapors and he told me to can it before it causes more trouble!!

Got a nice letter back from the vendor, and in this case manufacturer and he said that his solid billet cap really can't leak and he has never seen it leak thru the seals at all. He said his O rings can be replaced but conjectured that it is a dealer looking to sell and new cap!! Not sure which is fact or fantasy! Cap sure does fit tight!!

Because of the statement I took mine off today and looked. It is tight, no vapor leak or any signs of "blowout". I was not going to say anything, but hey this is a SOLID piece of billet that was cnc'ed. How the hell is it going to leak? Look at that plastic stamped cap and you tell me. And also dosent metal expand when it is heated? I feel better now. I love the cap wish the guy would make more, would have loved to had one of the hex ones. Whish I could find billet for a lot more caps under the hood. I mean REAL billet. Damn I was pissed when I got that "billet" ring for my antenna..............

LAF, I looked at mine too and for the life of me can't see how it could leak oil or vapors and could see no trail. I originally complained of the intake manifold showing grease at it forward edges. I cant see how the oil cap could put a deposit on the front intake seals and nothing else!! I also like the quick response I got back from Dr. Harms who seems like a first class guy to me!
