Your right Punch, trying to find out how it can be modified to fit. Autotecnica (APA)and a major seller said it will not fit the GT in its present state.[:I][:I]

I put this grill on my 2003 DreamCruiser, after being told that the original "rumors" about it NOT fitting were untrue. The top portion fits fine (although a little tight with the top clips). The bottom portion did not fit the turbo configuration at all!!! I used 3M tape (lots of it) and it held for a little while but then came loose. Tried again...same thing. Finally solved the problem with a couple of discreetly placed small chrome screws. Now, it ain't goin anywhere!!!

This is about the best pic I can find...have nothing showing the exact placement of the screws. If you look at the lower portion of the grill, top rung, the screws are in the two furthest vertical slats going in from the sides. Hope this helps (at least a little!).

I wish i could post pic, but i installed the chrome grill overlay and their are no gaps at the end of each tip, had to cut the bottom because the runners are different from the nos turbo now it fits and fits good. I do have a spair grill and it will fit the GT.

We haven't attempted to modify the lower grill to fit a turbo yet. I would like to see some pics of a success story though. You guys probably discovered this on your own but for those who haven't the best way to install the upper grill is to remove the stock upper and then install the upper chrome overlay onto the stock upper while the stock upper is out of the car. This gives you a chance to gently and thoroughly engage all the tabs/clips onto the stock grill. We have even put a dab of 5 minute epoxy over the areas where the tabs/clips meet the back side of the grill-for exta security. Happy Tuning!
