Default Power antenna
anybody have any experence with installing a power antenna in a PT?
I just purchased one on E-bay and was wondering if any one had any thoughts. [:I]

I have one and it was easy to install. Just follow the instructions. The only problem I came across was the antenna jack was different from my stock radio. So I went to Radio Shack and bought an adapter. I love it. I think it is better then the long stock antenna and it raises just as high. You can also put a switch on it if you want to lower it when you are playing CD's or when you feel like it (ie. carwash - if you dare go through one[:0]).

Does it come with it's own antenna bezel or can I use my chrome bezel? Gotta have my chrome.

It doesn't come with its own antenna bezel. You will have to purchase a chrome one.

Cool, already have one but I was hesitating to buy an electric antenna because someone had said that the on they installed couldn't use the chrome bezel they had. Where did you get your antenna

Well I just got the kit and it looks great came with the relay and instructions. Now all I have to do is find time and some good weather to install it. God I hate the weather here in NJ

I am thinking of putting one in but the part # given in ptdoityourself is not long available form JC Whitney. What brand did you end up getting? Did it said what is the minimum space required for installation. I only check the forum once in while. If it is not too much trouble can you e-mail me back with the info

Would the one that Pepboys sell work as well? It says it is universal. Any Feedback on this.

I am on my third power antenna... Bought two from an online PTC vendor... They didnt make it so not there fault... But I found one that looks just like it at PEP BOYS... at quarter of price... the shortest one they make... about 18 or 20" tall.

this time I am installing a switch so that I can raise a lower when I want....
