FYI - The same module is in the new M-Class Bi-Xenon headlamps. I should have my hands on some of these by the weekend to play with.I was originally going to use a different Xenon headlamp in my custom lights, but may go this route.

HID conversions are a big thing as evidenced here: http://hidforum.com
MEXICANPT is the first conversion I have ever seen. I've had my headlamps in-and-out several times and can vouch for the clearance issue. TripleJack, keep on going with your idea. Maybe you can add an angel-eye, too. Some Audi guy has them custom made in LEDs now.
