With the way these cars get rock chips on the front-end, I wonder how durable this huge grille is and resistant to dings from rocks and everything on a daily driver?

Sure is sweet.

Do you gotta drill a hole on the side of the fender to secure the wing that wraps around the side of the car?

I think it would hold up pretty well if it really is billet aluminum. I was kind of worried about the corners bending if you snagged something on them, or if you had some babe laying over the hood of your car. Besides that, they look like a solid construction to me. Hey BigPhil have you gotten any response from PT Dream, three weeks sounds long for a reply. I sent them an e-mail too, but it doesn't look like they are a big enough company to carry anything in stock.

I saw one of these grilles at a PT Cruiser Car Show I attended last weekend. The person purchased it from a local DC dealership. Upon close observation, I didn't like the fit of the lower grille section on the car as there was a large gap between the bumper and the fins on the lower grille section. To my eyes, this was less than a custom fit and detracted from the overall looks of the car's front end. Maybe it was installed wrong, I don't know? [:I] Just my two cents. [8]

Hey there Rookie,

I went to the cruiserbits.com site but I didn't see the "HotRod" grille in question. They did have a hotrod grille that looked like this: http://www.cruiserbits.com/Shop/View...eIndexID=34319 and they also had some chrome strips that extended beyond the stock grille that looked like this: http://www.cruiserbits.com/Shop/View...eIndexID=39813 If I'm wrong could you give a link to where I could get the bad ass grille.

It says in my mag. {Set your PT Cruiser apart with this Hot Rod Billet Grill. Lazar cut from high quality Billet aluminun.}The magazine is from moss motors. Call them and ask them to send u the winter issue 5-0311. That exact pt is on the front cover.[8)][8)]
