Scrib,

Here's where I get all my bulbs:

When I was using the APC Carbon Fiber taillights, I switched to LED bulbs because regular bulbs made the lense melt in that particular generation of lights. I didn't like the LEDs. They were bright, but only bright from looking at them dead on in the center. Any variation from directly in back, the light dimmed significantly.

crewzin--found the exact same thing when i put in a set of leds for brake lights. they seemed to illuminate just the area of the red lens directly opposite the bulb, but did not light up the entire stop light lens like the old-skool-style bulbs. you can't guarantee someone from the side would see you as clearly with the leds instead of the old skool bulbs. trashed those bulbs out of the vehicle without even taking it out of the garage. waste of $ and time. scribs, save your time & $.

There are times that new technology doesn't improve things, especially on a "retro" vehicle.
