I saw the steel blue with painted pillars and and love it. If anyone has an inferno red with them painted same I would like to see pics if you can post. I'm almost convinced to do it, but I just need to see it in my color before I bite the bullet. Thanks Gary

I'll be doing mine soon, if the weather gives me a break.

I'm going to use the OEM touch up spray paint. I've used it on some other items and they came out pretty good.

![]() I used duplicolor auto paint, but would suggest using OEM for something that has a lot of exposure to the weather.

I been thinking the same thing and I am going to paint my pillars too. I was going to go with the factory spray paint. My question is what do I use as a clear coat? Also do I need to sand the surface first? Is so what kind of sand paper (grit)?

To Gary04GT and PTGT Redman how is your paint holding up on the throttle shield? I must have screwed up on my paint prep because mine bubbled roung the edges, either that or the heat just ate it up... sorry a little off topic!

I have had no probs. Shield gets hot and soft, but no peeling.
I put a coat of sandable primer and then the paint.
